HOW TO GET THERE?

Private airports transfers will operate form the following airports;
Girona Training camp, arrive and depart Barcelona airport
Mallorca Training Camp, arrive and depart Palma airport
Mont Ventoux Weekend, arrive and depart Marseille airport
Cote d’Azur Weekend, arrive and depart Nice airport
La Marmotte, arrive and depart Lyon or Geneva airports
La Transpyrénéene, arrive Biarritz and depart Perpignan airport
Chamonix – Nice, arrive Geneva and depart Nice.

ARE AIRPORT TRANSFERS INCLUDED?

Private airport transfers are included in the price for the recommended flights. If you have any questions regarding flight times and transfer prior to booking please contact us.

CAN I STAY LONGER?

Additional night’s accommodation can be booked should you wish to extend your trip or perhaps arrive a day earlier than scheduled. Please contact us at the time of booking to confirm price and availability.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Your bike in good mechanical working order!

We strongly advise that you have your bike serviced before you arrive and insure that you have good tyres and brakes that work. If you prefer to travel without your bike please contact us and we will look to arrange a bike that you can rent for your trip.

Your cycle helmet that must be worn at all times on the bike.

Approriate cycle clothing for summer and winter conditions: especially warm gloves, over shoes and a waterproof jacket.

Please note that a kit list is provided with the joining instructions that you receive with confirmation of your booking.

WHAT KIND OF SHAPE DO I NEED TO BE IN?

You do not need to be a professional athlete to enjoy a GPM10 trip but you will need to be in reasonably good shape. Our tours combined, with the terrain in which we operate, are designed to be a challenging but rewarding experience for any cyclist. If you are comfortable with the daily mileage (including climbs) and ride times of between 4-6 hours we will get you through the mountains. If you are unsure or have not ridden in the high mountains before please feel free to contact us for advice.

HOW BIG ARE THE GROUPS?

Group sizes are limited to 12 unless otherwise stated on the ride itinerary.

Our client to staff ratio is 4 to 1

WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT DO YOU OFFER?

Each ride is professionally guided and supported by experienced staff with race experience.

A support car carrying essential spares (including wheels) and provisions for each days ride.

Mechanical support is provided for the duration of your trip and assistance with assembling and packing your bike is also provided.

IMPORTANT NOTE: GPM10 have been operating cycling trips in the high mountains for over a decade and our level of experience and logistical support is second to none.

DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

GPM10 insist on travel insurance for yourself and equipment. Cycling on open alpine roads can be dangerous. In the event of medical support, lost baggage or if you need to cancel your trip, insurance can be essential. Please ensure your insurance covers you for sport. In addition it is recommended that EU Nationals hold an EHIC card for reciprocal health care provision within the EU. Online application is available from http://www.ehic.org.uk/.

WHAT KIND OF TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED?

A valid passport is required to gain entry to France, Spain, Switzerland and Italy. If you need to apply for a new passport or for its renewal, make such application at least eight weeks before departure. Foreign nationals are advised to contact their local embassy to check their visa requirements. No vaccinations are required for any current GPM10 trip. The Department of Health provides health advice for travellers and online application for an EHIC card providing citizens of member states reciprocal health benefits within the EU.

HOW DO I RESERVE A SPOT?

To reserve your spot you will need to complete our booking form online. If you make a reservation more than 8 weeks prior to the trip a £250.00 deposit (non refundable) is required to confirm your booking. If you reserve your trip less than 8 weeks prior to the departure, the full balance is due at the time of booking. Please note: All trips are subject to availability and group sizes are limited.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CHANGE OR CANCEL MY TRIP?

Should you or any member of your party be forced to cancel your booking, we must receive notice by email from the person making the original booking. The cancellation will take effect from the date that such written notice is received. The following cancellation charges will apply. The charges are expressed as a percentage of the total trip price excluding the deposit which is non refundable.
